Gentlemen,
I am replacing my gas tank on my 1950 3600 truck. The old straps were basically rusted off, so I just used some tin cutters to release the gas tank. Now I have the gas tank out and am ready to put the new one in with new straps. I'm drawing a blank as to how to remove the old straps. Are they welded to the floor of the cab and the rear of the seat frame part that's welded to the floor? I tried prying them with a screwdriver and it wasn't budging. The new straps look like they would be more likely to bolt in, or else they just slide in place. Can anyone solve this riddle so I can get this finished up and put the new tank in? Thanks!
