Putting a V8 in your truck will allow you to run higher rpm which will make the truck run faster, but it should be noted the truck was never designed to go fast, so the steering and brakes become a BIG safety issue.
Get it running and drive it around, you may end up liking the speed! Lets you smell the rose's...
