Mudbug
I have the paint chips for my 56 Buick they are for Laquer and I don't mean Acrilic Laquer. The paint stores don't have cross over formulas that match them to newer paints they use now. My Buick was repainted on the outside with Acrilic Laquer and the color is the same but it has different depth and shine than original paint in trunk etc. I don't think these things are of mutch use for getting colors right as they are to small for computer paint match cameras to use for match so there only use is for a colector item. I think I paid $9 or $10 for my Buick chips fron Art Davidson in Ohio 1-800-old-chip or 1-614-451-6622 at that price it was worth it just for the fun of seeing colors Buick used in 56. If you have any area that has original paint in good shape like under door pannel my Dupont dealer has computer with camera that will give him formula to mix Enamel or Base Clear Coat he matched the unknown white on my 65 GMC dead on.
