Hey Scruffy, good luck with the stake bed pockets. And let us know if Jed returns. There seems to be a discussion in The Lounge section on where to get Zerorust. As far as I know, J.C. Whitney still sells it thru their catalog, at least they sell the primer which is the main thing. That's where I got mine.
And Luke, I'd be interested in the results of your experiments. I've got a friend who swears by POR-15, but that's just a bit too expensive for me. Like I've said, I've had good luck with the Zerorust, albeit for a relatively short period of time.
