Listening to the regional news station (WTOP), they make it sound like it will be a mess. Even telling people what to do if it sounds like their roof in creaking ... could fall in. The snow is suppose to be wet and heavy. Last night's traffic around the DC area was insane. Took some people 8 hours to get home from work. Some abandoned their vehicles. Couldn't get up onto the highway and interstates because of the ice with just a little snow packed on top. When we went to bed at 10:30, traffic was still all jammed up.
We got the generator hooked up and plenty of wood. John will probably be pushing snow. So, he'll have it a lot worse than me. Our neighbors will come and keep our wood stove going. All the kids will be out playing and sleighing. One neighbor comes with his horse-drawn plow-sled which is really cool to watch. I'll try to get pictures if I see them pass. Exciting day for these folks.
