Nice shop and setup.
How about using something like a sliding garage door system.
Uni-strut attached to all the floor joists to spread the load out and rollers that would run it the uni-strut.
1/4 ton hoist attached to the rollers would be all you would need.
I have seen this setup before for light loads and they worked good.
