I am replacing the stake pockets on rear of my 46 bed sides, and I am wondering if anyone could tell me the best way to do it. I guess you drill holes and weld shut, like spotwelds. Should I use some kind of weld through primer between panels. Looking for ideas I guess. Has anyone shortened the bed? I was thinking to shorten bed about 4", the width of pocket, because bedside behind pocket was rusted out bad.
