| | | | Joined: Sep 2001 Posts: 29,269 Bubba - Curmudgeon | | Bubba - Curmudgeon Joined: Sep 2001 Posts: 29,269 | LIne up the ball of the flywheel to the pointer on the flywheel housing so that the number one cylinder is on a compression stroke - take out #1 spark plug and see with a small screwdriver if the piston is up (is on a compression stroke).
Loosen the distributor clamp and rotate the distributor so that the rotor points to the #1 spark plug lead. | | |
