I went for a complete new Mar-K (
www.Mar-k.com) bed and I am very happy. I paid $2800 CDN ($1700 US) for the complete bed including a tailgate. This was a deluxe bed (stainless hardware, oak wood, etc).
I am very happy with the Mar-K bed and it assembled great, but yes two people for bolt tightening and alignment sure helps.
