Amazing Robert! I agree with Allen.. what would one expect to pay for a flat panel with just the louvers? I can then butt weld the louver piece into the panel because I lack the talent to do the whole thing so nicely!
I have this ambitious idea, but I have been lacking the ambition lately to see it through. Since 41-46 was the last year for side opening hoods, and the 47-55 takes cues from 41-46, those transition years could [easily] be made side opening as well. I have not figured any of this out yet, but if I did it, Louvers would be something that would look like they belong there.
