There was no indent for a crank on any of my 1954 harmonic balancers.
There is no "indent" in the grill sheet metal for a crank tool.
Some people have reported having a "crankable" harmonic balancer on a 54 truck (with the 3/8" belt groove, introduced in 1953). Perhaps their 54 truck had a "leftover" 1954 balancer?
