For helping keep this great
old truck web site
on the Internet for over 30 years! and not clogged down with Ads! Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: Nov 2015 Posts: 13 New Guy | | New Guy Joined: Nov 2015 Posts: 13 | Hi I am currently stripping down a 1964, 230 for rebuilding. And noticed while removing the intake/ exhaust manifolds from the head there was one stud and the rest of the fasteners were bolts with alignment pins on the ends I am guessing this was due to someone stripping the threads. As I found a helicoil after I remove the stud from the head. I like the idea of having studs instead of bolts and was wondering if anyone sell a stud kit for the manifolds
Also this is my first rebuild on this type of engine and I have the power book but would like to find reference material that cover a stock rebuild.
Does any one also know of a good machine shop in the Panama City Florida area? I need to get the head clean ,inspected and pressure check.
You can't see where your going, until you look where you been!
