Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: Jan 2009 Posts: 1,644 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: Jan 2009 Posts: 1,644 | Anyone have a case of torque converter ballooning?My engine started making noise on start up for about 30 seconds when it was cold.We put a dial indicator on the crank and it had .025 forward to rear movement after removing the pan we pulled the thrust bearing cap and found the rear side of the bearing was worn. Engine only has 400 to 500 miles on it.I've never heard of this but looking around the internet I've been reading that it is a problem.I got the torque converter from the same place that rebuilt my trans 727 mopar.
