chipmunk - keep it simple! the SS around inside of bucket is the electrode - skip the butter knife [wife will be happier that way] unless ya use that in place of the coil of SS. connect the red[+] to the stainless electrode, the black[-] to yer rusty part. use old style charger, not the fancy new "automatic" type.
