Follow the standard bleeding procedure (assuming you are referring to a 1/2-1 ton 1954 truck with standard/original-style brakes).
Run a lot of new/clean standard brake fluid through each wheel cylinder (starting at the wheel cylinder furthest away from the master cylinder).
LR - RR - LF - RF
Go through the wheel-cylinder cycle twice - it will not hurt anything.
