| | | | Joined: Jul 2001 Posts: 149 Member | | Member Joined: Jul 2001 Posts: 149 | I am paddleing the same boat you are. Got my millermatic about 6 months ago and I also have a '49 cab. I have been playing around with mine a lot! Two of the bigest tips I can give you for sheet metal is one use a shielding gas co2 argon mix is the best, I use just co2 (tank is smaller and I have it on hand for my business). Two and the biggest thing is use several small spot welds. Dont try to run a bead. Then grind it down. And yes use the 23 wire lowest setting and think I set my speed at 55 or 60. Hope it helps
