When I replaced my 6 cyl with a V8 in my '59 Apache truck, I installed an original V8 throttle linkage. It hooked up with no issues and seems to work just fine. Heck, the holes for the bolts were already there. I used my original gas pedal also. I have an extra that I'll sell, it needs sand blasting and painted and the hardware.
