Thank you both for your replies. I've had others question the 1951 model year attributed to my truck, due to the push button door handles. It is quite possible the old fellow that i purchased the truck from was mistaken when he told me it was a 1951. He didn't have a title to the truck that might verify the model year. I had speculated that perhaps GMC came out with certain features a model year ahead of Chevy, in order to distinguish them from Chevy (but that seems unlikely).
