I realize it's not the same heater, but the information is basically the same. Then to decide what to do with your heater switch, which is a real issue that should be addressed there is more info here:

If you have a 6 volt system, then all you really have to do is clean things up and make sure the wiring is good. If you have a 12v system and you dont want to go to alot of trouble, get a 12v to 6v reducer and wire it to the heater switch BAT terminal. Lots of guys here know how to help you.
