Not sure about the center console on this idea, but a low backed bucket seat set from a 88-94 Chev/gmc would fit very nicely. I removed my Dad's old farm truck seats for a trial run and if they weren't buckets I would have used them. You might have to find a another console as the stock 88-94 set up is about two inches wider than the stock AD seat.
However, I found and put an 88-94 full bench in my AD. Comfortable, cheap, lots more legroom and is a fairly easY install. Remove the stock seat riser (this is a pain... Go slowly) ,make a small 1"-1.5" riser (depending on your height) and drill new hole in the floor. The seat barely touches both doors. I'm not too fussy. Check the top left photo for an idea.
