Hi guys - newbie here. I just turned 45 and stumbled across my dream truck - a 1953 3100 5-window 4 speed. It's in pretty good shape overall - I'll let you know how good once I get into it. Yes, I can already hear the chuckles from the old-timers and the mutterings of "yeah, that's what I thought too sonnyboy!".
Trying to get a 235 built for the truck, run a rewiring kit, have some minor bodywork done and just drive this thing for now. My kids are still young which doesn't leave me with tons of time to dedicate to a major resto, but I plan on doing that once they are grown. I want to stick fairly close to original, with a few updates here and there to improve reliability and ride.
