Ok here's what I am doing.
I have a '52 3100 that didn't have the engine, bell housing, cross member, transmission or any shifting hardware (shifter, shifter box or linkage rods). So I found a '58 3100 and snatched the engine (235) and bell housing out of it (failed to grab the shifting mechanics) and set them in the '52 by using the cross member from a '54 3100. Then I put in the sm319.
I have been trying to find the correct linkage rods that go from the shifter box right down to the trans shift levers. Seems that everything I find is '57 and earlier because they all require a bell crank to operate the linkage rods.
The bell housing I got from the '58 is not drilled or tapped for the bell crank there for I "assume" the parts I need are '58/'59 only? I can't seem to even run down any pictures of these parts so I know what I am looking for.
Is there anyone here that has a stock '58/'59 truck with a three on the tree that can post some pictures and clear up this puzzle I've gotten into?
