on my 50 the easy way was to get a 1/2nton axle, it was a direct swap, they even use the same springs. Not
sure if that is true in 57, but the spindles and axles
are not the same 1/2 ton to 3/4 ton for sure. If this is the route you want to go put a wanted to buy ad on
craigslist- there are a lot of people swapping to
independent front ends who will let their original go
for a reasonable price.
