hey, thanks for the tips guys... I just got done on chevy duties web site, and they are charging $89 for one so I think I'll get a new one.
and no, there aren't any scorch marks...
after I figured out that my rail strips were no good I just took a 4 1/2" grinder to the bolt heads.
