Bob, welcome to the shops .... you should start by removing the cover panel inside the door and looking at how it works - likely something has come loose or is broken - if you do wind up needing parts, the various pieces can be found at any of the vendors listed on the links page that carry 55-59 parts, like American Classic or Jim Carter
