You know Ol'55, I didn't really even answer your question.
You don't need to and actually shouldn't use one of these cleaners prior to using a polyester filler (bondo). It is not needed at all unless there is some oil or something obvious on the surface. Clean it prior to sanding the paint off, that is fine. But after the paint is removed, just apply your filler.
