For helping keep this great
old truck web site
on the Internet for over 30 years! and not clogged down with Ads! Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: Jan 2002 Posts: 19 New Guy | | New Guy Joined: Jan 2002 Posts: 19 | I'm getting ready to install a set of barn doors on my 48 Suburban in place of the the factory clamshell set up. I have removed the screws from the turn down handle(one under the handle and one inside the door) plus the four screws on what I'll call the lock box on the door jamb and have removed the clip and lock from the outside of the door. The turn down handle still won't come off the door. The shop manual and assembly manual don't offer any help. Is there a trick other than the proverbial bigger hammer ? Also., does anyone know where to buy the clips (20) that hold the deluxe stainless trim that goes around the barn door glass?
Thanks,
