The '53 replacemet engine I put in my '46 2-ton came with a governor under the carburetor. It seems to be in good shape, it's clean on the inside and I could work the throttle plate in it by hand. There appears to be a connection point on the outside that a small tube would connect to. Where would the other end of such a tube go? Does the governor sense vacuum or pressure of some sort?
Since I actually use the truck I would like to protect the engine from over-revving.
