IIRC, I took off the steering wheel, took out the bolts and collar under the dash, then went and took the box mounting bolts out (big mistake, should've taken off the pitman arm first. Oh yeah, use the correct tools! Ball joint splitters are NOT the correct tool.) I then slid the box/mast down between the engine and frame, when the mast cleared the firewall I tipped the whole kabootle towards the radiator and commenced to fish it out of the compartment.
