You may want to check if you have Huck brakes (retrofitted by a PO) or the pre-Huck brakes (pre-52 I think). Pre-Huck brake parts are hard to find, just like the 1-ton drums. I had my shoes relined. Quality relining is usually cheaper than new shoes and still provides the same stopping power, assuming the rest of the brake system is operating correctly.
