That is currently in my 36 has the casting numbers 3835794 with a GM21 above. The last three numbers have been ground off and the 794 have been stamped in by hand. I'm trying to figure out what this was out of, those numbers correspond to a 1952 216 from a chart I was looking at. The serial # behind distributor is N21791UT . I know where the date code should be but haven't unnearthed it. Any reason why that casting code would be partially ground and stamped? I Will try to figure out how to post a link to photo.
