During the time I worked for them (22 years), I only recall maybe one or two warrantees from someone that had bought one of those. I do recall a notice form corporate saying that they would honor the warrantee for one final replacement from the original purchase, then the warrantee would be whatever the pro rate was on the replacement battery. IIRC, at the time, there was a 5 year and 6 year total warrantee battery being offered.
With the rate that Sears in the way to going out of business (the CEO is an idiot who could care less about the company, the employees, and the customers), I doubt they'll be honoring the warrantee on anything within the next couple years. But that's getting off topic.
