on the Internet for over 30 years! and not clogged down with Ads! Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: Jan 2010 Posts: 120 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: Jan 2010 Posts: 120 | Hi All. I have a 47 1.5 ton and its soon to go through certification for road use locally. The brakes are all original type and all 100% new, except the front shoes. There is no booster and they are all Single Leading Shoe. It will lock up the rears OK but pedal pressure required is very high. (20" duals) I believe this is normal- they just need a heavy stomp. You have to drive with stopping power in mind, it just does not stop well, but it will stop. Feedback please! What are your brakes like? I need to know if there is something wrong or are they just the way they were always meant to be.
