I think that most of us that get our hands dirty under the
hood of an old Stovbolt are also all round tinkerers anyway
Don. When I was 14 all I was interested in were cars and
trucks. Then my interest turned to the ladies and what
followed that over the next 60 years would fill volumes. An
anvil to anyone who enjoys working with metal is a must have
tool. Most of us get along fine beating on the edge of the
welding table, concrete floor or end of a vice, but once you
get a good solid forging to beat on you wonder why you waited
so long to add one to the inventory. Besides, it makes a neat
sound when your rebounding the hammer and is a lot less
tiring than dead blow forging a part.
