I took my windshield out to replace the gasket and I found a dissapointing amount of rust along the top of the cab right above the pinch weld on the outside of the cab. The rusty spots are on the part that runs parallel to the ground. A quick pass with a wire wheel revealed a few pin holes and two holes about the length of a quarter and about 1/4" wide. I can see right through them into the mouse nest in the cab where the visors mount. I cleaned the mouse nest out and POR-15'd the whole mess, but I'm worried about leaks and further rust. Is there a very good way to repair this? Welding it would be difficult because I can't get behind it, and it is crusty rust. Should I fill it with JB weld and goop it up good with windshield sealer? It is cosmetically behind the window gasket but it was obviously exposed to water. The rest of the pinch weld is nice and strong so I don't need a structural repair but I want to prevent further rust.
