My 51 3100 has a '50 code torque tube that has no dowel in the front bushing, making it a "late" '50, right according to the searched threads by jorb, etc.
So which Okie is right, a 50 or a 51? The vendors make the break at the model year without the early or late designation....so are there other differences than the dowelling, like the OD for example?
I'd like to confirm by objective evidence, like measuring, rather than trial and error.
