| | | | Joined: Jan 2001 Posts: 5,337 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Jan 2001 Posts: 5,337 | It is a good idea to look at the four ears that the bolts go through on the retainer. They are often bent towards the transmission.
I always put the ears in my vice and straighten them, or even a little more back than straight, to give more clamping force against the gaskets/shims.
