Hello gang,

I de-greased the flat area next to my distributor and uncovered a code that looks to read "AFCA685099" I've checked our site and a few others and come up with no info. It's a 47 truck (3800 Thriftmaster) but I do not believe the engine is original. Any help would be appreciated. The markings look to be good hits but, hey, maybe I'm reading something wrong. I'll try a photo but my lighting isn't too good.

I imagine it's a 216, but there are slightly different casting identifiers than my confirmed 47 216 on another truck. By that I mean, on the drivers side where the throttle linkage attaches there are 2 additional holes that look like they may accept a bolted attachment of some kind, directly above the generator bracket.

Also, the floor directly behind the bellhousing is cut to accomodate the bellhousing. Oddly, the SM420 lands perfectly in the floor board hole. Perplexing to me.

Thanks folks - Joe
