I dont know about fore and aft being the problem. They also have in and out .The door may be too close to the jam. What area is hitting? On mine the closest rub point is the lower 6" of the door. Think its a weak hindge.When the door is closed there is about a 3/16 in gap top to bottom. And door and fender are flush. If this helps
