Ken, on my 53 3100 the left side rear fender had to be held aft about 1 inch to get the splash apron and the running and fender to all line up . On the right side i had to pull the fender fwd about 1 inch to get everything to line up. The cab and the bed all lined before i started. You have to remember these old trucks did not fit very good from the start. After i got everything bolted to gather, which was a fight, everything looks OK.
