A 302 GMC will do a pretty good job doing what you want to do. 1952 and later 450 GMC trucks were born with a 302. A lot of the were born with straight air and a 5 and 2. Air over hydraulic is not reliable. The less you have to change specs, the more time and money you will have for the restoration.
