Here's a '50, 6v generator on a 216 at 2500 rpm. Battery is a
Farm & Fleet I installed in Oct, 2008. Have never had a problem
with it starting Summer or Winter. Terminal voltage has
always stayed steady at approximately 7.2 vdc plus or minus
a couple of tenths. Have never had a battery charger or
maintenance charger on it even though I've thought about it
now that the battery is getting up in years.
