OK, I've done a really dumb thing here. I've got a '46 Panel, I'm the fourth owner since it was built. The last two guys did somethings but never finished it out. When I got the truck the roof already had the high build primer on it so I (like a dummy) assumed that it had been stripped and primed. I was just going to sand it, add some fresh primer and paint. Well I started to sand it down and found that the primer covered the original 1946 paint and alittle surface rust. Now my BIG problem, this paint, what ever it is, loads up every sand paper I use on it. I can't even use grinding discs on it becauce they load up too, and I mean really bad and fast. Now the rest of the truck is done. Primed and ready for sanding and painting so chemical stripping is out of the question, won't even consider it. Anybody got any ideas what this stuff is and how to get it off??
