On my '59....
I can get it aligned along the sides, and the gap at the cowl is OK, tho wider than I wish. But no matter what combination of things I try the back of the hood sits too high above the cowl. The three bolt holes (2 against firewall and one at fender liner) on the bottom portion of the hinge are as far down as they'll go.
If I lower the hood and then push down on the back of the hood where it meets the cowl it will drop about 1/4" or 3/8" and be at an acceptable level, but as soon as I raise and then lower the hood again...the back is sitting too high relative to the cowl.
Is there a trick or fourth dimension I'm missing?
