Careful, as you don't want to "unpack" the steering box's ball bearings. Others suggest taking the steering weel off and unbolting the box+column from the frame after marking the position of the pitman arm. Then slide the box plus column out of the hole in the firewall. It will make your assembly easier and not require a repack of bearings inside the actual steering box.
