Buck, I bought a small cutter for a Dremel Tool and chucked it into my air drill. I vee'd out the cracked areas down to the core of the steering wheel. I mixed up some PC-7 epoxy and filled the cracks, smoothing it with lacquer thinner on my finger. I let the epoxy harden and hand sanded the epoxy back into the shape of the original wheel. The sanding was time consuming. I did it a little at a time over a period of a couple of days. I primered it and shot some lacquer on it. The wheel looks like new. I am sure you could do a nice job on your wheel..
