Finally was able to get out and finish the repair on my 1952 Chevy 1/2 ton pickup with original radiator and a 283 sbc. All 5/8" heater hose replaced today along with 180 degrees thermostat, water pump (short shaft), top radiator hose Dayco #81081, 1 1/4" - 1 1/2" x 15 1/2", bottom radiator hose Dayco #81231, 1 1/2" - 1 3/4" x 13 1/4". Stock radiator was taken out flushed and pressure checked with no leaks and reinstalled. These radiator hoses fit like a glove, exact size and length, really made this repair a breeze. I have the original heater that I had re-cored with a heater core for a mid 60's Ford Falcon. Removed the end caps and had my ends re-soldered onto it to ensure an original fit. Cleaned and repainted all affected areas while everything was out. It has been a busy day thanks to all for your help and inputs. A wealth of knowledge on this site. Thanks HUGH
