OK, that helps...The sidemounts were welded to the top rail of the bed and just didn't look quite right, even though they're obviously homebuilt. My son wants to go with a cream upper body color and black fenders & running boards. Since this will probably end up as a resto-rod, it'll have steels all around, but with a later drivetrain and an IFS front end. Thanks, guys.
