Right now I'm getting ready to re-gear my 50' 3800 and am deciding between either the "True-track" or the Detroit locker for a 14bolt rear. I remember reading there were a couple years Chevy offered the "no-slip" option, and some14bolts came with posi traction. I had a number of episodes where I wouldn't have enough weight in the back with either on snow or on plain wet grass would have a tire spin me nowhere. I added a little more weight with a towing bumper I fabricated, and am I'm leaning toward the locker for the extra traction. Any thoughts or suggestions on what some of you guys prefer?
