I ordered some sheet metal and I'm going to fabricate my own beds using te tech tips for assistance. I am running out of room around the yard and sheds as I will be building my 9ft box for my 1 ton first. I initially planned on repairing my 9footer but it will be cheaper, better looking and better built to start from new. I will be able to spruce up some of the factory shortcomings like chains.
Steel arrives on Thursday! Enough material for two AD boxes: $450 (no fenders or tailgate)
Two nice, new, shiny, straight boxes for my 1/2 ton and 1 ton: priceless!!
